Teaching for The Smock Shoppe- The Sweetest Daygown

The sleeve of the Daygown had Featherstitching around it.
Mary had the sweetest little antique Daygown at The Smock Shoppe.

She told me I could share it with you!!

The sleeve was gathered by shirring it.

The Double Featherstitching was fine!

This little Daygown was of primary interest because of  the Whipped Tucks or Over Tucks as they are also called.  We were learning how to stitch them in class.

They were stitched on either side of the center front.

A close up peek of them, along with the pretty Featherstitching on the collar.

I love it when I have examples stitched on vintage garments.

Mary was a gracious hostess and I had a real good time!!

The End!
