When serving lunch for Old Fashioned Baby Sewing Ladies, Button Cookies were on the menu.
Perfect in their Button Jar!!
I found this idea on Pinterest. And loved it.
This is what you do....
I made Shortbread, but you can make Sugar Cookies if you want.
Cut them into round cookies, then use something a little smaller to make a slight indention. (I used the little cup that comes with cough medicine)
Sprinkle sugar on them and use a straw to make the holes in the buttons.
I made both the two hole buttons you see here and 4 hole buttons.
Too Cute!
Put a couple in a little bag to give away to each guest.

Very cute, I showed the picture to my 15 year old daughter and she's planning to give them a try, we have winter break here for the next two weeks and she's planning lots of baking and she also wants me to teach her to smock.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! You could also add threads of icing to them.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute!! Now to figure out how to make piped icing bullion rosebuds in the holes! :))
