Hem embroidery and Snail Shirring Ruffle.

The lace on this gown  has been Pinstitched to the Snail Shirred ruffle.

OMG, I laughed right out loud! Now you KNOW I will have to have a certificate. My competitive spirit can't leave it alone. I did work on my gown tonight. Yoke is attached to the entredeux, sleeve another story. I may have to start over. Did you pin stitch the lace to the ruffle?

Martha, Of course you need that Certificate. Available to all in the class... presented to the select few who meet the challenge!
The picture of the ruffle you are referring to is not the gown I brought to class. It is from the first gown I did and yes, the lace is pinstitched to the fabric instead of rolled & whipped. Pinstitching does take longer than the Roll & Whip.

I will not let Martha beat me this year... I may not get mine done before her, I will complete it though. I love the gown!
