Jane sewed the Buttons to a cloth covered cardboard and framed them.
This is another of Jane's Treasures.
I love Mother of Pearl buttons.
They are absolutely beautiful.

The details of the Buttons are wonderful.
Art!
I love the way she has them displayed in this oval frame.
I wonder how long she played with their position before she was satisfied.
They are just beautiful.
I think Jane told me the buttons on this heart were from her Grandmother.
What a clever way to display something that has a sweet memory.
This seems doable!

Such lovely buttons. The heart with the buttons is very clever, and pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove this post... my mother loved buttons and I received a small collection of them when she passed away - many of which are mother-of-pearl. You have given me two wonderful ideas for displaying them! Thank you thank you thank you!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen such lovely MOP buttons, and certainly never gathered all together in one collection. Isn't that the magic of collections - how they are displayed? What a lovely way she has of displaying her button collections.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a display at Grandmother's Buttons! Kathy
