Antque Toddler Dresses- View 1

Flat Baby Betsy is splendid in her fancy Dress.

This dress view is the actual reproduction that inspired the pattern.    I made  short sleeves for a little girly dress but the original had long sleeves and is part of the LSU Textile collection.

The Dress that I copied this from belonged  to a little boy.  Yes, that's right….it was worn by a little boy.

All the materials on this particular dress are antiques I had.  I am happy to tell you that there are plenty of "new" laces, trim and fabrics that can be used to make this beautiful garment.

I suggest: Swiss Batiste, French cotton Laces and Swiss trim.

I think the neatest thing about this dress is that it only looks like a Round Yoke Dress.  It is really a Square Yoke Dress that has a ruffle sewn onto the yoke to make it appear to be a Round Yoke Dress.

very cool

The pattern includes size 1,2 and 3 and makes a beautiful Easter Dress or Flower Girl Dress.

A little bit of history is sewn into this fabric.
