Whitework Class - Day 2

A group shot of all the Saga members and Jenny.

(We made up 1/3 of the class - Go Saga!!)

She had items for sale - very exciting for us.  

I bought some needles that Jenny claims as her favorite.  

This is my work space.  Notice all the light and magnification?

Much needed!!

Notice Jenny has one hand on top and another under the hoop waiting for the needle to poke through the fabric.

We were working with a sit on hoop.  

This leaves your hands free to stitch the poke method where you have one hand under the fabric and another on top.

Not my favorite way to embroidery but many of the stitches require it.

Here we are being taught a filling stitch used in Ayrshire Embroidery.

She is using large thread to demo but the proper thread in teeny tiny.

They are  exquisite when done.

Only one day of class left!!
