Fancy False Round Yoke - Two

The back of the baby gown was stitched the same as the front.  

They made a "block" of lace/swiss insertion.  Then they cut the front and the back yoke from the fancy "block" of lace/swiss insertion fabric  that was made. 

This look was reproduced at the bottom of the skirt just above the ruffle.

Now that is French Hand Sewing.

Susie was inspired by this dress and created one herself.

It's beautiful too. 
 She won a Blue Ribbon.

You can see the old hem and the new hem. Pretty, pretty!
