On Making Crochet Blankets!

Many people have wanted to know about the green crochet that edges the pretty pink blanket.
My friend Carole did the crochet on this blanket.
And she has agreed to help me do a lesson on preparing the blanket for a crochet edging.  And a simple crochet edging.
Blankets made by Lisa for her new Baby Boy.
I received an email from Lisa who made these blankets after being inspired by a post I did about my sewing group.  The post featured blankets being made by one of my friends.
Machine embroidery done on Lisa's  Viking machine.
Her blankets are all so cute.  And you never have enough blankets!!
Congratulations on the new baby boy!!

So, stay tuned this summer!!

  1. These dainty little blankies are so precious with their delicate edging, Jeannie! I used to crochet but never did anything THAT small! What size hook was used??? They're adorable especially that one with the little duck!

I will look forward to reading about your lessons on the subject.

All your wonderful photos of these precious garments are such inspiration. I enjoy coming to your blog.

  5. These blankets are precious! I have read the crocheting lessons as well and am excited to get started on my next blanket. Do you know where I can find the name of the stitch used on the pink blanket with the ribbon running through it?

  6. I am sorry but I don't really know much at all about crochet. I have never made a blanket myself. I know heirloom trim that has a ribbon run through us is called beading, you can try that. Have fun with it!!
