This past week I taught a Shadow Embroidery Class for a local chapter of Threads of Love.
Threads of Love is a Christian sewing ministry for sick infants.
These sweet ladies gave up their day to learn a new technique to embellish gowns for babies who are born too early or are too sick to live.
Gown and blanket made for a baby to wear as a burial gown.
Mary is holding the gown she made in a newborn size.
Hand embroidered hem.
These gowns will be the only garment some baby's will ever wear.
They are made with love and prayer.
Embellished Blanket that goes with the gown.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms"
1 Peter 4:10
Beautiful. What a gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious ministry this is. May God bless all those involved! The gowns turned out gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and touching post and so much hard work goes into each and every creation. Blessing to these ladies. Will have to see if there is a chapter here.
ReplyDeleteGod's Blessings to you all.
They did such beautiful work. What a blessing their ministry is.
ReplyDeleteAs with SAGA's Wee Care program, both of these help parents in very hard times. Bless you for teaching the class. Is that your pattern?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a loving gift to give!! (I know a photographer who volunteers her time to do beautiful family portraits of parents and these babies.)
