This lovely little book was written for children who are learning to sew.
Circa 1913

There are lovely illustrations.

Cute pictures and stories too.
Along with very real sewing information and techniques.

And Doll clothes patterns are included (circa 1913 of course)!

  1. I have this book and slowly working through it just as the instructions say. I have made several 16" porcelain dolls to wear the clothes. And such a lovely story too!

  4. I would of loved that book as a little girl or even now. I have just read about the finger sheild and i would of worn it on the right hand but your way makes a lot more sence thank you. I have arthritis in my hands and my fingers are a little bent but i will try hard with a thimble. Have a great week hugs Pat
