White Wednesday -Handsewn Circa 1920 Gown Pattern

Martha finished this class project for SAGA 2009
Martha's pretty Granddaughter in French Handsewn Baby Gown Circa 1920.

Pictures of cute baby were taken by Martha and used with permission.

What a cute little face!!

I now have this pattern printed and ready to go.  Sorry for the wait.
French Handsewn Baby Gown Circa 1920 is available in my web shop.

Special technique on the hem, I named Snail Shirring.   I did an article introducing it  for Creative Needle in May/June, 1992.

Yoke embroidery.

This Gown was a reproduction (with a few design changes)  from an antique gown.  It was on this gown that I first saw the lovely Hem technique.   It was made entirely by hand and I fell in love with it.
