My Beautiful Knitted Shawl.

I love this Shawl.  I think it is really called a Shawlette!
This is the Shawl my Sister knitted for me!  We chose the pattern and yarn while she was here for a visit.
My Sister knitting on my back porch, only last month!
It is made from a yarn that has silk in it and it is so soft and wonderful to wear.
The lovely back of the Shawl.
  It matched my dress perfectly!

After it was blocked the openwork showed up even better.
I wanted  it ready to take to SAGA National Convention!

It was ready in plenty of time.  So pretty.

My Sister has answered questions about the pattern (free) and the yarn in the "Comments" (just click on Comments below.

  1. You are a lucky lady! To have a knitting sister to make you such a lacy, feminine and lovely shawlette! It looks just the right size to keep the shoulders warm!

I hope you'll consider sharing her pattern & yarn choices?

    Such a lucky lady!

  5. Wow - your sister must be REALLY nice! :) I'm glad you like it. It was fun to make.

For those who want to know - the pattern is "Summer Flies" (free on Ravelry) and the yarn is Elsebeth Lavold Wool and Silk purchased at a fabulous yarn shop in Baton Rouge. Knits by Nana. I highly recommend the shop - friendly, helpful staff and great selection of beautiful yarn.
