This perfect Bullion Picot was stitched by a student in the "Wonderful Petticoat" class.
I went to Memphis to teach for the Memphis Area Smocking Arts Guild.
This is our merry group for the Lace Yoked Daygown class.
(You can't tell from this picture but they were not as merry when asked to stop stitching for this photo. This was a serious about stitching group! But they were too nice to refuse.)
We stitched Bullions in Button holes.
And my host had an amazing yard.
I felt like I was staying in a spring inspired wonderland!
We stitched both the regular and the Antique Double Featherstitch.
Two blog friends are Judy (you can visit Judy's blog) and Shirley.
I met Blog Friends, which is always fun.
And, at my request, I ate BBQ for three nights in a row.
They have the BEST BBQ ever in Memphis!
I'll tell you more about my visit in my next post...

We were in Memphis also for the weekend! It is so beautiful in the spring, but I love it anytime of year! We ate barbeque, and brought some home. My Memphis native husband can never leave without a big take home bag! So glad you enjoyed your trip, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I love all the things that you taught. The host's yard is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jeannie, for coming to teach in Memphis. I'm looking forward to finishing the day gown now that I'm home. I hope you will come to Nashville, where I live, in the future.
