French Handsewiers SAGA - Shell Hem

I taught the Shell Hem for the French Handsewers  SAGA Guild today. It is my own Guild.
The meetings are instructional and each one will feature a different stitch or technique to use on the Wee Care (or Threads of Love) gowns.  I think it is a great program idea.  At the end of this series of programs, each person will have a gown to give to the hospital.

I have given you the instructions for stitching the Shell Hem here.

I am a believer in Thimbles!

Someone in class did a very good job!

I get to see many pretty sewing items in classes.
I love this garden!!

And what a special treat to be given a set of vintage Pillowcases!
I use pretty pillowcases.  I sleep better on them!

This is a beautiful crochet design.

And they came to me nicely wrapped AND freshly laundered and pressed!

It was a very nice day.

  2. I love this stitch for baby dresses... in my ignorance I always called it the scalloped hem :-(
