Its Sew Heavenly!

I just returned from teaching for  It's Sew Heavenly.

Someone brought in a delicious family heirloom made by Mother In Law for us to see.
I think I swooned!  I want to re create it.

This was a wonderful weekend of stitching.  The group was sweet and interested and excited and they were funny!  I enjoyed being with each of them.

Weaving pink silk floss through the sleeve.

Floss is woven through the entredeux before the cuff is turned up!

The daygown has a cuff with entredeux and lace.

Snail Shirring...done!  nice.
This is what the bonnet will look like finished!
Brenda and Lacie working hard and having fun!
Brenda on the left and Lacie on the right.
These are the ladies who fed us  the most amazing homemade fare....all day long! And took care of our every need!  It's fun taking a class at It's Sew Heavenly!

I brought some cute garment samples with me.
We  like to see  garments all made up to inspire us.  It must have worked because everyone was planning their next sewing project before the class ended!

This was the view from my window when I woke up this morning.
It is even more amazing close up and personal!   I love this garden, it has such a feeling of peace!

This little shop is full of the best laces, fabrics and trims you can find anywhere.
I hope you get a chance to visit!

  4. I have been 'watching' and reading your blog for several years, Jeannie. I'm always amazed at your creations. Can you please give me some advice on preserving my infant gowns? Whitiscg@aol.com
Or send me your email address as to allow me to ask specific questions?
    Thank you!
