Washing Baby's Daygown

Under the Bubbles is a pretty soft mint green Daygown and Bonnet.

I am washing it before it goes to the intended owner.

I am using ZOTE laundry soap.
( I remember when Ivory Snow was soap but now its detergent.)

You must first dissolve the flakes in warm water before adding the garment.

And I bought it at Walmart of all places!

Drying in the sun.

My Brown Dog is never far away!

Next post…..more green gown!

  1. You state that ivory snow is now detergent rather than soap. When cleaning heirloom garments, why is this significant?

  2. Hi Beth, I am not a laundry expert and am not endorsing any cleaning product. Thus said. I find soap (which is a natural product) to be a soft and gentle way to clean baby clothes. Detergent is made from synthetic products, often a petroleum byproduct. You can use soap on your face but not a harsh detergent. It's a totally personal opinion!
