Smocked Eyelet Bonnet

This is a basic Smocked Baby Bonnet.

Instead of the traditional fabric with lace edging, I used Swiss Edging for the entire Bonnet.
When looking for Swiss Edging that will work for a Bonnet, remember that it needs to be the depth of the bonnet (8" for Infant).  Also, make sure that the embroidered design at the edging does not extend into the area that will be pleated.

Very pretty and so easy!

"Ruffles are a necessity around the baby's bonnet.  No matter how much you may admire simplicity, you will find that all babies look best with a flattering frame around the face."
