Narrow Swiss Edging.

This is a narrow Swiss Edging.

It's an edging because it has a scallop on one side that is intended to be used on the edge of something.
It also has entredeux woven together with the edging.  It is on the side that will be stitched onto the fabric.    It is not the plain entredeux, but it is a type of entredeux.   So it will be stitched onto fabric the same way you would stitch entredeux to any fabric.  The fabric you see on it is just the selvage.   You can purchase this fancy entredeux without the Swiss Edging attached to it, too.

Here, I have woven several strands of embroidery floss through the entredeux part of the Swiss Edging.
Someone inquired about this trim that I used in my last Sew Beautiful article.  So I though maybe others would like to see it too.

And a picture of my sleepy cat.
He likes to lie on the good stuff!

  1. One of my favorite trims, especially for baby boys. Not too frilly and just a perfect way to set off a placket.
