Sew Sew's Drink Lots of Tea and Sew Too!

Carol is making a dress from this blue Rosebud fabric.  And she found this beautiful blue and white tatting that is just perfect for her project.

She bought the hanky you see here just for the purpose of removing the Tatting to use on her dress.  She is so clever like that.  And there's more.

She found this old Crochet thread and put it to use.
She crocheted around a baby blanket, adding the lace as she went.
Such a sweet and delicate touch.

Two more completed blankets by Diane.  Her Satin Stitch is supurb!

And Shirley was crocheting this tiny little edging on a Plisse baby blanket.

Bunny was working on the little Blue Linen Dress.

It was a beautiful day for a Garden Tea Party
We took our tea outside and sat on my porch.  Weather was perfect and the light was fantastic.

I had to go and fetch the Teapot so it would be handy!

Invite a friend over for Tea and stitching.  It's so much fun.

Mom's  (my Mother In Law's) Lemon Curd Recipe
3 Egg Yolks
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
1/2 cup melted butter (real butter)
1/2 cup sugar

1. Whisk together to blend well.
2. Cook 1 min in the microwave then whisk again.
3.  Cook 1 min (again) in the microwave, then whisk again.
4.  Cook 1 min (for the third time) in the microwave and whisk well.

Cool in the fridge, then serve in a pretty bowl or jam jar.
So yummy on Scones.

Now, how easy can that be??

  3. Oh, Jeannie I'll have to try your lemon curd recipe. It sounds so much easier than the one from a dear lady in our church. Her husband's favorite dessert was pound cake with lemon sauce. But it was very tedious to make. This sounds delish. Thanks.
