The long gown from the pattern Smocked Baby Clothes
Lovely gown with Smocked Sleeves and a Lace trimmed collar. Fabric is a pretty lawn.
Delicate colors are used for the Smocking. See the little pink Rosebuds!
The back of the gown is comfortable for baby. Flat instead of gathers with a little inverted pleat for extra wiggle room.

I just got this baby pattern (for my birthday, with your embroidery book!) and I was just now thinking of making one for my next smocking project. Not that I have a baby--but I thought it might be nice to put my first real baby gown in my daughter's hope chest or something. Everyone I know had a baby this year, so I don't think there will be any more soon! And anyway I think half of them wouldn't know what to do with a daygown.
Anyway, this post inspires me to get serious and plan a project! :)
(I'm pretty new to smocking, have only been learning for a year.)
I'm telling you girl...when I have another grandbaby I'm gonna be knocking really loudly on your door!
LOVE YOUR WORK! I'm a huge fan!

Blessings and HUGS!
Beautiful little gown. Baby clothes are so sweet, and I love seeing them wear what I make for them. I really like the back with the inverted pleat.
sew pecious :)
Hey again girly...
My artwork and cards will be for sale soon. You asked about it so I thought I'd let you know. I'll be reopening my website before too much longer. Working on stock...but the hardwork of the actual site is done.
Again...LOVE YOUR WORK!
