This Old Fashioned Baby Gown Circa 1920 was handsewn by Martha of Southern Matriarch.
And she won a ribbon at the Fair!
I love to see the fine art of sewing gain recognition in the world at large.
This prize winning Christening Gown was made using the Old Fashioned Baby Baby Gowns pattern.
Martha used her own talented design ideas as she put them into this special Gown.
Baby Emma's Smocked Baby Dresses pattern is one of my all time favorites.
Martha's workmanship is amazing and the judges saw it !
Eva Marie is wearing the Circa 1920 Baby Gown.
And this is the Amazing Eva Marie - who was really the inspiration behind it all!!
The Stork
Last night the Stork came stalking,
And, Stork, beneath your wing
Lay, lapped in dreamless slumber,
The tiniest little thing!
From Babyland, out yonder
Beside a silver sea,
You brought a priceless treasure
As gift to mine and me!

I love those little dresses.. A blue ribbon...good for you.
Elaine, I am not above basking in the glory of those ribbons but I can take no credit as Martha was the one who did all the beautiful work!
Awwww thank you. I can't believe that precious baby is now 14 months old! The time flies when you are having fun. Thank you for the kudos. I am honored and graced to have your wonderful patterns as a palette. Up next is using The daygown from Baby's Summer Clothes out of Swiss flannel for baby brother's coming home gown. Thank you again.
Martha does fabulous work. She actually finishes her class projects! :)
This is absolutely beautiful!
