Fancy Snail Shirring Baby Bonnet

I am going to teach in St. Louis  and I have been busy preparing the classes.

I created a new class to teach and am quite pleased with it.
It is a Fancy Snail Shirring Bonnet.

It is a full day class and combines fine machine sewing techniques with lovely hand sewing.  The best of both worlds.  Tucks, Lace, Embroidery and Snail Shirring.

Stitching my favorite...Featherstitching.
Both basic and Antique Double Featherstitching.

Plus a little Ribbon Rosette.

I totally enjoyed stitching this bonnet and am ready to make another one.  It was pure delight and just enough hand sewing for me to carry about with me.  But it worked up pretty quickly.

I think it will make a great class project.

This is a picture in progress that I have shown you before.

I thought the in progress pictures would make more sense to you now that you see my finished little bonnet.

Goin to St. Louie!

What a sweet bonnet! The snail shirring gives just the right amount of gathers to frame Baby's face.

The bonnet is stunning! If I lived in the States I'd be sure to attend one of your classes. Have fun teaching the class!
