Teaching for It's Sew Heavenly

Enjoying the wonderful weather during a lunch break.
We had a wonderful two days sewing together!
I just returned from teaching my little Daydress at the shop It's Sew Heavenly.

Sew Heavenly is located in Louisiana.
Really only about 1 1/2 hours from Baton Rouge.
220 Twin Lakes Drive, Youngsville, LA 70592
phone - 337 856 8141

Baby Daydress - View 1 was our project.
Everyone learned how to attach lace insertion to fabric in the correct order.  And they stitched Bullions and Featherstitch.  They also learned the Antique or Old Fashioned Double Featherstitch.

For those of you who have NO IDEA!  This is a special King Cake.  Made just for our class.  It had a tasty cream cheese filling and was frosted with chocolate.  Amazing!

Mother and Daughter.
Brenda owns and runs this wonderful shop with her daughter Lacie.

This is the room as it looked after we filled it with sewing machines and all our sewing gear!

This is the view as you look out the  door that leads to the porch.
I loved the porch.  I was able to go out side and demonstrate some of the stitches on the roomy porch. The atmosphere here is very warm and relaxing.  A place where you want to just stay!   And wait until I show you their fabric!

This is a terrific shop.  It is south of Lafayette and not on the beaten path but is so worth the trip.   Next post, I will show you around their shop. Join me!!

ps strider and i had a good walk today

Brenda's shop is beautiful. She has a real eye for putting things together. And the lot around the shop is just as beautiful.

Your work is incredible! It would be fun to take a class like that....especially if there was cake!

What a lovely place that looks to be! How far from Houston? With my daughter in College Station and her fiance in Houston, I might just be down there again sometime.
