One of the ladies bought this fabric to make herself a nightie.  It feels soft and smooth and wonderful.  Perfect for the sweetest dreams.

Believe it or not!

All this fabric is the finest Swiss Batiste, Lawns, Dotted Swiss, Swiss Voile, Swiss Dimity…..etc.

Beautiful Lace?

Bins of Beautiful Lace.

And bolts and rolls of cute edgings and trims.

Farmhouse Fabric shop is always open on line but the Shop is only open to the public for classes and one day a month so call before you visit in person.

Prize Winning!!

Carolyn finished up the class project from last years "Sewing With Jeannie B. at Farmhouse Fabrics"

I was so pleased that Carolyn brought the outfit to show me in person - all finished!

And with a Blue Ribbon!!!

First Place!!

She did a lovely job so I  am not surprised the judges recognized this.

I am grabbing onto her prize winning shirt tails…..

…..so pleased my Design was used for this First Place outfit!!

Some finishing up touches.

Busy Bees on their sewing machines.

And the matching up of the lining.

Swiss Beading is the perfect finish for the seam at the yoke/skirt.

We cover up the seam allowance with the beading. 

 Then thread the ribbon through and it's beautiful.

Sewing at Farmhouse Fabrics.

The great class room at Farmhouse Fabrics.

We were in a wonderful Class Room.  

Full of natural light and great artificial light too.

Boy, is a lot of light great for stitching!

One of the ladies was taking notes in class.

Taking notes about machine settings will come in very handy later.

I recommend you always take notes when stitching.

Keep them in a special sewing notebook.

Creative Needlework Market - Post Two

This is a booth that everyone runs to when the market opens.

Fabric Finders

They bring lots of fabric and also have a special sale section.

These bolts of fabric go fast….come early for best selection.

Products From Abroad is an interesting Booth.

Lots of pretty and neat trims.

I hope the shop near you brought home a box of French Ribbon like this.

They are all so pretty.

The blue with pink roses is my favorite.

Ginger Snap Designs was also at Market. 

She had lots of cute samples and all her patterns and books available for purchase.

There were more booths that I didn't get a chance to photograph.

Baby Gracie in Cute OFB Outfit

What a cutie pie Gracie is all dressed up in her pretty clothes!

The dress pattern is from Baby Daydresses but this little dress design is made up special for a Class and not in the pattern.  Bonnet is also a Class Design.

Complete with a matching slip.

Louise used the Slip design  from a Sew Beautiful article I did using this same slip pattern.

I love the matching Sacque too.

The garments are  the projects from my class at Farmhouse Fabrics this spring.

Louise did a beautiful job!

Carolyn Completes Class Project!

Carolyn completed the Class Project  (from the March class I taught at Farmhouse Fabrics)  and even made matching Booties.

Teaching at Farmhouse Fabrics - Day 3

Our last day of stitching class at Farmhouse Fabrics.

It was a lovely day.  We did some embroidery outside.

Natural light rocks!

And we learned to make Bullions.  Very nice!

We also worked on our Bonnet.   Much progress here too.

And we gathered lace edging and stitched it to our entredeux trimmed neck edge.

Carolyn was focused on her embroider and almost completed one side of her Sacque.

And we finished our Shopping!!

And we had a real good time.

If you have never had the oppertunity to shop in person at Farmhouse Fabrics, you have missed a great experiance.  It is literally a wharehouse of  sewing fun. 

They are not open to stop by everyday so check their hours.

It's worth the stop.
