White Wednesday - Baby in a White Bonnet

Baby in a Bonnet embellished with Snail Shirring.
Catherine was a long time customer at The Old Fashioned Baby Retail Shop in Bocage Village in Baton Rouge (before we closed our Brick & Mortar doors).   She sewed lovely baby clothes for her friends babies.

Pictures by Catherine.
We listened as she talked about one day having her own baby to sew for.

Bonnet made with antique Eyelet.
This beautiful little baby girl is hers and she made the Old Fashioned Baby bonnets!

Those bonnets are absolutely beautiful! I wish that bonnets were still common wear for babies, like they used to be. They are so sweet and adorable!
