White Wednesday - Summer of Daygowns..more!

Pretty lace and embroidery at the top of the daygown!
I am including this design in my new Daygown pattern.
The design is similar to the one I am teaching for SAGA next month.
I love the look of the Daygown that I am teaching for SAGA so I wanted to use something similar in this pattern.
One made by me.  One made by my Friend.
Different Fabrics and different embroidery.

He is almost 3 months old.
Sweet Baby wearing my Daygown!
And He weighs about 11 lbs. (weighed 7lbs something at birth)
He was a good sport as he tried on two different daygowns.
Isn't he a doll?  Babies belong in OFB  Daygowns!

We each finished the back of our daygown differently.
Here you can see that the daygown in front is the palest of blue/green.
And a Rosebud on the sleeve!

Sweet Baby!

Where did you get these arms and hands?
Love, made itself into bonds and bands.

Feet, whence did you come, you darling things?
From the same box as the cherub's wings.

From an antique Baby Book, published by G.R. Gibson & Co. New York

This is my White Wednesday post for the week, where I show you pretty white garments.

That little baby is scrumptious. He is almost the same age/size as my little boy that I'm doing the Daygown Sew Along for. It is nice that you have so many friends to sew with who live nearby.

Jeannie, All of the daygowns pictured are just beautiful. Gave me the push I needed to get back to your daygown sew along project.

Just beautiful! I love reading your blog. It is how I start my day (cup of coffee in hand) and it helps set a nice, peaceful tone to it.

Thanks, Jeannie, for the wonderful instructions on sewing entredeax by hand and finishing it afterwards. I can't wait to try this.

I have been sewing for about 50 years. I can't believe I'm that old!! I have not stayed with it all that time because of work and family responsibilites. Got back in to smocking when my girls were small and now back into it again now that they are having chidren.
