A Perfect Morning.

This is the Lace Garter my friend was smocking on!  She finished it and sent me a picture. Isn't it pretty? I love the blue silk ribbon for "something blue" and the silver heart charm attached to it.

The bottom of this Tea Pot is really a cup!
This morning was perfect!  My husband made me a fire before he went off to teach.
I had old fashioned oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast, in front of the warm fire.

And tea from my funny little Spode Christmas Tea Pot/Cup.

See how clever this is?
I have declared this another Christmas China day.
Maybe tomorrow I will put it away.

And I felt very House-wifey  this morning.
I broiled all my meat and vegetables (except the parsley) before I put them in my Crock Pot to cook all day and turn into Stew!

Strider is shaking his head because my oven door is so messy!  Tsk Tsk.

Well, I'm not feeling that house-wifey!

We have replaced the carpet in our bedroom with wood floors which has taken some re-arranging.

And Strider has a new bed.
So far he has not chewed it up!

Did you know Adam and Eve were the first sewers?

"Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked.  And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin-clothes."  Genesis3:7

And when God discovered them He made them garments of skins.

"And the Lord God made for Adam and his wife garments of skins and clothed them."
Genesis 3:21

Wow! I never thought about that. You're right - the first sewers! I'm glad you enjoyed a peaceful morning by a nice, warm fire! Happy New Year!
