Tea and Fingerless Gloves!

I have been wanting some of these for a long time!!
This Christmas my sister knitted them for me.  Everything about them is perfect!  The color and the design.  They have an old fashioned look.  I love them.

And....this is my first Tea Party of 2011. In front of a roaring fire.
We used my Spode Christmas Tea Pot and dishes, which I am loath to put away.  I made Cranberry Scones and Oatmeal/Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yumm.

No, it was not so cold in my house that I needed my gloves but I wanted to try them out!  They keep your hands warm and allow you to use your fingers too.

I  did a poor job taking pictures at my Tea Party!  My Friend was smocking a beautiful Lace Garter for her son's new bride to wear but I forgot to photograph it!!
Sorry, you would have loved it!
Next time I'll do better.

These gloves are perfect. Would your sister be willing to share the source of this pattern? Thanks.

I made 5 pairs of fingerless gloves for gifts and two more for myself this holiday season, I love them so! They were very well received. I adore these that you are wearing. I can't knit, only crochet, but I covet these. Just gorgeous!

Hi Susan - I asked my sister and here is her reply

The pattern is called "Susie's Reading MItts" by Janelle Masters. They can get it on the Dancing Ewe Yarns website (it's free) or on Ravelry (you have to join, but that's free).
