Miss Dot and The Old Fashioned Baby

Miss Dot is holding two  baby gowns that she made using my patterns.
Miss Dot is standing in front of the OFB clothes that I made and brought with me to Farmhouse Fabrics.   The two garments hanging on the left (the yellow on top and blue on the bottom) she also made.

Pattern above was created using Old Fashioned Baby Layette.
Miss Dot likes to use my patterns when she creates her lovely baby clothes.  And I am tickled pink that she does!

The little Gown in the picture above was made using my Baby Layette pattern.  She stitched lace insertion down either side of the center front, which she embroidered, and bordered the lace with pintucks.  I love her variation of this little gown and can't wait to make it myself!

Old Fashioned Baby Layette Pattern is  perfect  when you like to get different looks from one pattern.

Look closely at the sleeves of this dress.
I love how she stitched the lace to complement the raglan style.

Miss Dot likes to sew lace at the hem of her baby gowns.

Close up of Sweet and Simple Daygown.
She has stitched lace insertion down either side of the front and also at an angle across the two tucks on each side of the Daygown.

I think OFB Baby Summer Clothes must be a favorite of Miss Dots.

I saw it made up in many different ways and in a variety of fabrics.  I love that she makes a slip to go with each Daygown!  And she always stitches lovely embroidery on her slips.

Miss Dot and I have quite alot in common!

I love the combination of Blue and White.  Don't you love the blue embroidery on this white gown?  The embroidery design is from my pattern "Best Embroidered Baby Clothes 1"

Another beautiful blue and white embroidered Summer Clothes!  The embroidery on this gown is in the Summer Clothes pattern.

The very good news about my Baby Summer Clothes pattern is it will soon be available again! It is at the printers right now.  And I have added a few new embroidery designs to it.

Miss Dot gave me permission to quote her (so I will!):

"Of all the patterns I've ever sewn, I like Old Fashioned Baby patterns best.  I like them because they are easy to make, you can change them around and they fit!"
Miss Dot, February 2012

Now, thats an endorsement!
Coming from a woman who has been sewing for 80 years!

I want to grow up and be like Miss Dot.
