Antiques of Interest

I stopped at an antique shop on my way home from visiting my daughter.

I saw many unfinished projects there.
The embroidery on this one was complete but it looks like it was never put to any use.

Prettily stitched!

Beautiful artwork on this baby's Church Cradle Roll.

And what do you think this is?
It is a neck tie case.
Who would have thought this dainty little case would have held a man's collection of Neck Ties??

I am amazed at how much detail people put into objects... knowing how much time it takes. I believe that is why so much hand stitching is a thing of the past... people just don't make time for simples pleasures like sewing! I find it so therapeutic and calming in such a hectic world! Thanks for sharing!
