Fun at Barbara's

One of Barbara's antique Sewing Kits!
We really did not need to leave Barbara's home for me to be totally entertained!

She has a "to die for" collection of old Needlework Tools!!
And I loved seeing them all up close.
And unlike a museum, there was no glass case separating us!

Each piece in her collection was unique and beautiful.

I love this book that identifies the Needlework Tools.

I think this is from a Christening set.  It is made from beautiful netting.
It does seem fitting that a lady who loves, and knows so much about history should own some of her families own treasures.

A peek at Barbara's Sewing Room.
She has it arranged in a very funtional way.  And with a big, bright window to let in the natural light.

But it is so cute that function is not your first impression.

This is a close up of the framed picture of Scissors shown above.  Notice that the scissors are stitches. And look close to find hidden words.  Do you see Cloth and Fabric and Thread?

Love the tiny shoes that grace Barbara's window sill.

They are sew Barbara!!

Great needle case, and going To Barbara's is like going to a museum - she has some wonderful antique sewing pieces!
