A Vintage Baby Dress I Like!

This vintage baby dress was probably made in the 30's or 40's.

It is a soft, soft cotton with simple, but pretty design features.

There are three pin tucks on either side of the front yoke.  And nestled between the tucks are three circles worked in  Featherstitching

The excess fabric in the hem has been pleated  ever so often to keep  the fabric flat.
This was an alternative to gathering the fabric to fit.

I especially like the neck, which is finished with a tiny bias binding with baby lace stitched along the edge.

The sleeves are also finished with a tiny bias binding and have the same baby lace stitched to the edge of the binding.

The right side of the bias sleeve binding is embellished with Featherstitching.

Very Sweet!
