Daygown Class for Saga National Convention

September 2016

One of the five classes I am teaching is Fine Hemstitching on a Daygown.

This daygown is simple elegance!

The Daygown is fine white Linen. It features a contrast Bias Binding and Constrast Sleeves in your choice of Pink or Blue Linen with  Swiss edging stitched along the front.

This is a class that uses the Sewing Machine for construction details but focuses on several Handsewn Embellishments.

I will be showing students how to make a beautiful bias binding for the neck…and how to Pinstitch it for a special look.  Click on picture for close-up.

We will be learning the basic Featherstitching (I want everyone to love this stitch!) and Pinwheel Posies.

My students will learn how to adapt the sleeve to include a contrast band and how to hand Hemstitch it in place.

There is a choice of color for the contrast band.  Blue or Pink.

But it can also be made entirely in White fabric.

Sign up for Convention Classe begins on May 16 in the morning.
