"Baby Emma" in Yellow Print - Ironing a Sleeve

This would be the Classic Baby Emma.  Made from a cute cotton print.

Smocked with 3 strands of yellow floss.

With self piping along the yoke and collars.

But on to the sleeve ironing.
The old fashioned way.

You lay the sleeve down on the ironing board, hand creasing it around  the middle.
And press it.

Ta da!  It is cute and the sleeve stands right up.

If you look at old photographs of little girls in dresses, you can see the same kind of creases on the sleeves.

A Rose of a dress!

And that's that!

Emma's Classic Smocked Yoke Dress is Back!

This dress is made from blue Satin Batiste.  The Classic pattern view.
The embroidery and smocking is in pink with touches of green for the leaves.  Very Cute!

I love this little dress.  Emma's Smocked Baby Dresses Pattern.

It is a Classic Smocked (or not smocked ) Baby Yoke Dress that is perfectly proportioned for a baby, fits well and is designed with sweet little embellishments.

The back of the dress is extra special.  It has no gathers so baby is much more comfortable just laying about being cute.  The tucks in the back add to the cuteness and are drawn into the pattern so they are quick and easy to stitch.

It was fashioned after an antique.

Pure Sweetness!
