Teaching For It's Sew Heavenly - Part 2

We had pretty fabric and lace to sew.
The Students in my Class were doing a wonderful job!

Laying out the pattern on the fabric, and measuring the grain line of the sleeve.
Our fabric is pale mint green Fairy Fabric.  Because it is a wide fabric, there was enough fabric left over to make a bonnet for anyone who wanted to.

There was extra room on the porch to work.
It was a beautiful fall day.

Lace and entredeux were stitched to sleeves.
Very pretty.

The Bermuda Fagotting (Point Turc or Lace Stitch) was learned and mastered.
You can see the lower stitches in the picture.  The lowest stitches on the fabric are the learning stitches.  And in the middle are the getting better stitches.  At the top are the very nicely done stitches.

I was not the only one to take a picture of her work.  Several people wanted to get a picture of her lovely stitching.

I hold the thought that to be a good stitcher, you just have to keep at it.

A person who just tries a technique will have stitches like the first ones in the picture.  If  she stops there, her stitches will never look like the final stitches above.

We were fed incredible meals.  Brenda is an amazing cook!

And we stitched some more.
I met 'Blog Friends'.

Another incomplete picture of our group.
Lacy is taking the picture and I am kinda in the middle in the black skirt and sweater.

Finally, I wanted to show you a picture of Brenda in her closet, ironing.

Her closet is amazing!!

I want her closet!
Beautiful, isn't it?

We had such a nice time....we have already scheduled me to come back again next November 3.
