Sew Sews - Shirleys Sewing Room


Shirley had her sewing table right next to the window.
I love natural light to sew by.

Her sewing table is actually two desks, lined up back to back. 

 There is room on both sides of the desks for a machine.  In this picture you can see her sewing machine at one desk and her serger at the other. I really like this.  It allows you to sew with out being cramped (as you can be when you have two machines side by side).  And although some people like to have everything right together so you never need to leave your sewing chair, I think it is important to get up and move around!

she used screen to cover the opening.  That keeps the air circulating.
