Sister Trip - Fabric Shop

We went to an upscale Fabric Shop in Cleveland.

Loved this cute dress made from linen with a Japanese lawn trim.
It was cut on the bias which gave it some swing.

The few fabrics they had were wonderful Japanese lawns and Liberty lawns.

With very cute trims.

It was the kind of shop that inspired you to go home and start sewing!!

That's the best kind of Sewing Shop I think.

I wonder who buys fabrics at such a shop. It would take a huge population to make it viable. For a radius of 700 km of me there are three fabric shops and the internet. One sells curtain fabric only. The bigger shop sent all the other smaller ones out of business, because it is the constant small sales that sustain fabric stores. I hope the local dressmakers realise just how lucky they are to have such a sewing boutique.
