On Holiday - York, Mad Alice and Other Things

Mad Alice is a popular Ghost Tour.

I'm not sure why they call these tours Ghost Tours except that they are in the evening.
It was really a historical walking tour.  And Mad Alice was very entertaining and informative.
I like that she dressed that part.

Victoria in her newly aquired hat.

We saw alot of interesting places and learned so much about York.

A picture of "The Shambles".  An old area of town where the streets are very narrow.
We learned all about it on our tour, too.  Dicy history.

Victoria was happy  to to have a bar or gateway named after her.

Other things include this Chocolate Shop.  We loved it!

They hand make their own candy here.  This man was the nicest!
He generously gave us samples  and more samples.

We found a  really cool hat shop.
This is where Victoria found her cute hat.  The people in York are friendly and helpful and just so nice.

Another Tea with wonderful scones.

What I love about the UK:
Scones are readily available and they are soooo  good!
