White Wednesday- Smocked Baby Dress

Baby Anna is wearing View 2 of "Baby's Smocked Layette".

It has just a touch of dainty smocking at the neck.

And an old fashioned scalloped hem.
The dress fabric is sheer white Fairy Fabric and the hem is pink appliqued to the wrong side.
I appliqued the hem to the dress using a machine Pinstitch on the Pfaff Creative 2144 Sewing Machine.
And I hand embroidered Featherstitching and a Bullion Rose above the hem.

What a lovely little baby dress! I always love seeing babies in things like this, instead of the everyday outfits that anyone can buy at Walmart!
Happy White Wednesday!
