My Summer of Daygowns.. continued!

I love the beginning of a project once I have made the decision about the fabric and the lace!  And the cute buttons of course.  The dark blue fabric is a wonderful batiste that I  chose for my next Daygown.  I am making mine for a Baby Boy who is one month old.    My Friend is using the lovely  pale blue batiste.
Beautiful Old Lace.  Using my Old Lace for my projects is one of the ways I will "Have More Fun" this year! Another way to have Fun is to sew with a Friend!
I love this lace but when it came time to actually stitch the lace on the Daygown..we changed our minds!!  We used another Old Lace that just seemed to be perfect for these Boy Daygowns.  Now, I can't wait to use this lace on my next Daygown.  Oh, my Summer of Daygowns  will continue!  Just wait until the next episode!

You area having way too much fun! Love that lace. At first glance it looks almost like a Swiss edging. I was surprised when I clicked the picture. Very sweet. Back to baby slips.
