White Wednesday - Baby Boy Bubble in Sew Beautiful

This little Old Fashioned Baby Bubble is featured in the latest issue of Sew Beautiful magazine.
I haven't seen the magazine yet but I know it's available.
I can't wait to see it in print!

It is the first in a series of articles I am doing in 2011.  The column I'm writing is "Sewing Lessons with Jeannie Downs Baumeister" or something close to that.  I will know for sure when I see the magazine.

I am hoping the readers will like my column.

The article for the Jan. issue will feature the Machine Shell Hem when used as a trim.
I love it!  It adds a  interesting and unique finish for sleeves and collars.
And it is easy to do!

The Bonnet was finished with the same cute trim.
I used the embroidery design from my book "Jeannie B's Book of Heirloom Embroidery Designs and Stitches".
I used the same embroidery design on the Daygown in this post.

I like using the old fashioned buckles to fasten the chin strap.  I have had these for ages.  I need to get them up on my web site so others can enjoy them.

Will do it soon.

Please let me know how you like my new column.

This is my White Post for this week. I am joining  Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

I think it's a clever title for your article "Simply Jeannie-ous!" I also think that the boy bubble was the cutest item in the magazine this month. Your instructions are so easy for me to follow....I enjoy learning from you. Can't wait to see the other articles!

I received my SB issue a couple of days ago. Love your romper. Was so glad to see more heirloom in this issue. Thrilled to see you in there. Yours was always the first column I looked at when you were featured in Creative Needle. You do wonderful work!

Merry CHRISTmas, Jeanie! I was thrilled when I saw this beautiful little bubble in the latest SB magazine. You make the shell stitch sound so simple. I can't wait to try it out. What a wonderful treat this all white issue was...magnificent.

I look forward to your upcoming columns & also to another year of learning from your blog, as well. Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration this past year.

Have a Blessed Christmas & happy, HEALTHY New Year!

fondly,
Rett
