that's exactly where my cat sits, though i dont have a cabinet for my sewing machine. i keep my sewing machine covered, but every time i sit down to sew there is cat hair all over my table and i need to wipe it down. the worst of it all is even when i am sewing she still thinks it's her place and fights me for the top of the table. she keeps scooting my fabric out of the way and i keep scooting her off. i also have to deal with a lovebird who likes to sit on the top of my machine and watch the thread travel. that wouldn't be so bad, but sometimes she lunges down with her beak and bites the thread in two. i love all 11 of my birds, one cat, and one dog. what would we do without pets?
