Lovely Old Sewing Box

I am always on the lookout for old Sewing boxes.
This one I found recently is a beauty!

There are two little doors on the top that open up to make everything you could need accessable.

It came filled with old stuff, most of it was not very interesting.
The old Oil Tin was the prize inside it.  It is sitting on my shelf now.

The owner had a measurement chart taped to the inside of one of the doors.
I could see how I might tape a list of measurements I use often.

You know, like ....22" of lace to gather around the neck of a daygown.
Information like that.

This is where it is living for now!

I love old things!
