Miss Dot Adds Lace Applique to Baby Layette Daygown

Continued from my posts about teaching at Farmhouse Fabrics.
Miss Dot used the Front Button version of Old Fashioned Baby Layette.

Miss Dot used Swss Windowpane Dimity on the Daygown .
And lots of fancy lace work.

This pretty Lace applique looks nice on the skirt.

Such a lovely gown! The lace appliques remind me of the little spiral bound book Handmades for Your Baby. I wish I knew the name of the author of that book. The introduction just says that she is a "leading designer of handmade baby and toddler wear". I recently used one of your patterns again to make a sweet little baby layette. You can see it here: http://butterfliesandfaeries.blogspot.com/2013/04/smocking-and-lace-details-for-project.html

Oh jeannie ...these are beautiful!! I am going to post something today or tomorrow that I think you will love! I am blessed with having a lot of very old clothes passed down to me...I just washed and ironed a bonnet that is all hand stitched...feather stitching and pin tucks....I think it was once a very light pink!! probably about 90 years old!!
