Taking Pictures of a Bonnet

This bonnet is from the class "French Acadian Christening Bonnet".
I had to take pictures of class projects to update my Saga class files.
So, I headed to my garden for better light.

This bonnet was fashioned after many of the Christening Bonnets in South Louisiana.

I took liberties by adding a little color in this bonnet.

It is made by hand.  Pure pleasure in the stitching.
Nothing hard about it.

It features tiny pin tucks, hemstitching, featherstitching, pretty lace and fine fabric.
This lace is not available anymore
but there are many other pretty laces to be had!

Stepping back from my bonnet to show you my garden.

The flowers are blooming ..
life is good in my little garden!

Happy flowers to you.
