Antique Baby Dress Three

Baby Dress Three was not a Bishop Style but was a lovely Tucked Yoke Dress.

Oh, the fun this must have been to make!

I love Hemstitching and this is dainty and fine!

The hem is also embellished with fine Hemstitching and embroidery!

And the back of the Baby Gown is as fancy as the front, which I particularly like.

How beautiful! Whenever I think I'm getting pretty skilled with my needle, I see something like this that our great grandmothers made and I'm humbled. Is that entredeux between the sleeves and bodice, and in the shoulder seam? And maybe even between the insertion and edging at the neck?
I also love hemstitching! How do you do it without drawing the thread the full length of the piece, as was done in this yoke? I'd love to see a lesson on this technique.
