Visiting Susie!

Me and Susie.
When attending the Royal School of Needlework in Williamsburg recently, I stayed with fellow Saga teacher, Susie Gay.

She has a lot of interesting things in her house.

Things I was instantly drawn to like this quilted pillow.

She found the old quilted piece at a shop and made the pillow herself.

I love the simplicity of the design and that there are only two colors.

And most of all that it is hand stitched.

Slow Sewing….that's the ticket to life happiness!!

We stopped at a Rose garden on our way from the airport to her house.

I was in Rose Heaven!!

I visited Susie's home a couple of years ago. It is a lovely place and Susie gave us a guided tour of her home town too! Such a lovely lady!
