On our drive to the Wedgwood factory store, we stopped to see the Narrow Boats.
They pull up to the shore and dock just about any old place that is interesting to them.
They travel along the canals in the UK.
The canals were built to transport goods from the country factories. In this photo the narrow boat is moving past Middleport Pottery where dishware would have been loaded onto a working Narrow Boat.
You can find information about Narrow boat Holidays. Renting a boat and going off on your own. It sounds relaxing as I was told they don't go much over 4 miles per hour.
We had a nice conversation with this boat owner. He told us he and his wife sold their home and live in their boat. Going where they please.
He said they watched this calf as it was born that morning.
Then he and his wife walked off to the pub down the way.
This is the pretty bridge where I took some of my pictures.
What I love about the UK: There are so many interesting ways to see the country side.
