It was my turn to host my sewing group!
It was the perfect time to use my pretty linens because there would be someone else to appreciate them!!
Kind of reminds me of a Valentine heart!
This Embroidered Tea Cloth is entirely handmade (not by me!). I love the work stitched in it.
And I used my pretty Tablecloth on my Dining Room table (don't fault me for not ironing it, please). And pretty napkins. I did iron the Napkins.
I love to iron linens.
But not large tablecloths. I hate to iron tablecloths!
No one mentioned the lack of ironing. I think they were just pleased that I used a pretty cloth at all!
You know I love blue and white!
See the pretty Blanket Stitch embroidery. Very effective.
Old Homer Laughlin dishes.
I've had this tablecloth for years and I am sure I don't give it the respect it deserves.
It's the only one I have that is really large enough for quite a few people, so I use it for every fancy Dining Room meal. Then I throw it in the washing machine. And the dryer.
You need to use pretty things.
It makes everyone feel special.
We did sew!
Which is why we get together in the first place.
At least, that's what we tell people.
The picture above is from a SAGA Program that my French Handsewers guild used for the monthly program last month.
On top is the finished Hemstitched Book mark. Under it is one that is in the process of being stitched.
The Smocking Arts Guild of America (SAGA for short) gives us a wonderful opportunity to meet other women with our sewing interests and to learn more about sewing. SAGA is all about fostering the art of Needlework and about education. There might be a Guild near you!
Someone else has the treads all removed and ready to hemstitch the hem of a Baby Gown.
This is my White Post (joining Faded Charm) for this weeks White Wednesday. Thank you for coming!
I had so much fun with my Sewing Friends that I will finish telling you all about it tomorrow!!

can cross the path of our destiny
without leaving some mark on it forever."

All of the linens are gorgeous! I never use a table cloth but after seeing this I am gonna have to get one! The pictures are just beautiful and I can't wait to hear more about the sewing group.
Oh the table linens are sooooo beautiful! You and I both have a love for them! I just love the blue blanket stitching on the one - soooo gorgeous! Love reading your blog, Jeannie!
You can slide on the tablecloth... I used to send them out to be ironed when I had a need. I have some napkins similar to those... they came from my former MIL.
