Pretty Baby Sheet

The bow is Shadow Embroidery.  The hem is Madeira Applique.
This is a Crib size Top Sheet.
Long, long ago we traveled on vacation up in Canada and stopped for the night at a motel.  They provided a crib for our baby and the crib was neatly made up , including a top sheet.

It was very cosy.
That was the first time I knew Cribs could have top sheets.

The applique is attached using the Pinstitch (by hand but you can use your machine).
The Featherstitching follows along the curve of the applique,
stopping for a Bullion Rose occasionally.

You can find Crib  top sheets in expensive Linen Shops.
Or you can have fun making them.

The pattern for the sheet I made is in Best Embroidered Baby Clothes Two.  The pillow slip is there too. Along with other cute things.

Wow, this sheet has all my favorite things: Madiera applique, pin stitching, bullions, and of course, feather stitching! It is just lovely.

This is breathtakingly simple and beautiful. I have a couple of MAJOR projects to complete and then I'm going to start working on some heirloom baby things for a "hope chest" for future grandchildren. I have 3 of your patterns and Best Embroidered Baby Clothes is one of them. With the three I have, I can make a slew of things and I can't wait to get started.
